OUTLAW PROMOTION USE ONLY IF IT IS NOT ON OUR SCHEDULE IT IS NOT OUR SHOW!! USE OF THESE RULES IS ILLEGAL!!

ENTRIES

NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED. STATE LAW ALSO PROHIBITS THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WHILE OPERATING A VEHICLE. THEREFORE, NO DRIVER UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE OR ENTER THE EXHIBITION AREA. JUDGES MAY DISQUALIFY A DRIVER IF HE/SHE IS CONSIDERED UNFIT TO DRIVE. LAW ENFORCEMENT WILL BE NOTIFIED OF VIOLATIONS.

Orderly conduct is required of all drivers and pit persons. If not, any driver and or people affiliated with that car will be evicted without any refunds or prize money. Misconduct may result in being banned from present and/ or future participation. Any driver or crew member not complying with any one of the rules will be immediately disqualified. Crew members are the responsibility of the driver.

Pre-entries must be before the demo. Mail entries to Outlaw Promotion, 16502 Q Road, Cimarron, Kansas 67835.

All cars must be in the pit one hour prior to start.

All cars will be inspected and passed before allowing participation.

No ambulances, hearses, trucks, vans or convertibles will be entered. No diesel motors.

NO one allowed in pit area without a pit pass!

All cars not removed the day after demo, become the property of the Outlaw Promotions.

Entry fee MUST be payed before inspection and refunds will NOT be made on cars that do not pass inspection!!!

Entrants and pit crews are expected to wear pit pass at all times. Sub-frames or uni-body are considered frames

You may run Imperials in this class

Imperial parts stay on Imperials only.

IF A CAR IS WELDED SOLID IT CAN”T BE CUT TO RUN

IF YOU BUY A CHEATED CAR IT STILL IS A CHEATED CAR AND WILL NOT RUN.

PROTEST RULE

P1) Protests are allowed within 5 minutes of feature ending. Only one spot out of pay may protest. (If paying top 5, only the top 6 may protest) Contact an official immediately. In order to protest, the protesting driver must pay $500 cash (NO CHECKS) on the spot paid to the promoter before any inspection will occur.

P2) Only the promoter and his inspectors will be allowed in the arena to inspect the protested car. They will only look for the specific protest. May not be vague such as whole car or loaded frame. Must be specific area, such as frame horns, crush boxes, too many plates, etc.

P3) If any holes are punched into frame, and no cheat is found, car owner/driver may plate over hole within reason (double size of hole) and it will not count as an additional plate. If car is found to be legal, the driver of the car will receive $400 dollars of the $500 and the remaining

$100 will go to the promoter as a re-tech fee.

P4) If car is found to be illegal, the protester will receive $400 dollars back. The driver of the disqualified car will forfeit trophy and payout and suspended from the next scheduled weekend warrior show. The award will go to the next placed car. If the driver of the protested car denies the protest, any payout and trophy will be forfeited and the next car advances.

P5) Upon protesting, there will be no cussing, yelling, fighting, or any other disrespectful behavior. If the promotor determines that any disrespectful or illegal behavior has occurred, it will be his discretion to deny the protest and law enforcement will be called and protest will be denied.

GOLDEN RULE

G 1) If you decide to push these rules you will be asked to fix or be loaded. NO REFUNDS! G 2) Rules are written to inspector’s interpretations, NOT the drivers. What the inspectors say goes. If the driver does not agree, they may load their cars.

G 3) IF IT DOES NOT SAY YOU CAN, THEN YOU CAN’T. Build at your own risk.

CAR PREP

CP 1) All glass, plastic, fiberglass, chrome moldings, molding clips, door handles (inside and out) and pot metal MUST be removed prior to arrival at facility. No broken window in doors.

CP 2) No flammable materials such as carpets, upholstery or headliners can be left in the car. CP 3) Cars MUST be clean and free of loose objects inside the entire vehicle.

CP 4) Insulation blankets under the hood and in trunk MUST be removed.

CP 5) Wheel weights must be removed.

CP 6) Fuel tanks must be removed.

BUMPERS

B 1) Bumpers may be changed to any factory car bumper.

B 2) Bumper can be welded together

B 3) You can hard nose (no extra material). To keep it on.

B 4) You may stuff bumpers E) If you build a bumper (MUST APPEAR TO BE A STOCK Bumper) METAL ONLY) 8′′ tall 8′′ deep

B 5) If you build pointy MUST be 11 inches deep MAX, with a 3 inch blunt point!!!

B 6) Can relocate Back bumper in trunk only! IF you don’t run a rear bumper the bumper shocks MUST be removed!!!!! ONLY ONE REAR BUMPER

B 7) May trim bumpers. When trimming off bumpers please keep people’s safety in mind.

B 8) Shocks can be collapsed and welded NO EXTRA MATERIAL.

B 9) If you extend shocks. NO COLD ROLL. They must have a 1/4 hole for inspection! NO EXCEPTIONS! No homemade shock mount!

B 10) With out using bumper brackets you are allowed to use 1- 4” wide x 3/8” thick strap extending from your bumper down one side of the frame and cannot extend any further back than the very front most part of your top-front a-arm bracket. May be welded on top, sides or bottom.

B 11) May have 2 Chains or 2 wraps of #9 wire, or two straps 2′′ long or two cables 1/4′′thick . NOT MORE THAN ONE that can go around bumper and around frame. ( Front and back) Maximum two wraps. No crossing allowed! (If you use 2 metal straps attaching rear bumper to trunk, then they can’t exceed 6′′ on the trunk skin!

B 12) May weld rear bumper to trunk lid, may use 2′′ strap.

B 13) Front bumper can not be taller than 32 inches to the top.

B 14) NO frame spacers on or near bumper, MUST HAVE SEPPERATION FRAMES

F 1) May weld frame from transmission cross over forward top and bottom ALL WELDS NO WIDER THAN 3/4 inch!!!

F 2) May weld 12 more inches long and 3/4 inch wide, more top or bottom else where on both sides of frame .

F 3) K frames must leave one ear up Y frame you can close gap with a 1/4 ” plate but must have 1/4 hole for scope

F 4) May remove pucks in K frame subs, but must be bolted with no more than 1′′ ready rod(no space required)

F 5) Suicides must have a 1′′ hole in front frame rails between fire wall and A arms for bore scope. Floor pan must have hole in passenger side 1′′ big.

F 6) No metal, wood , foreign material and or concrete allowed in frame.

F 7) No frame to body welds!! NEED TO KEEP 1/4 GAP!

F8) No Frame Pinning! No Frame Lacing!!

F 9) All frame holes must be open, No welding shut or washers added!! YOU PICK THE CARS WE DON’T!

F 10) May tie frame rails together by rear end with chain or 2 raps of #9wire( no further foreward than hump)

F 11) Previous ran cars with broken or cracked frames may be re-welded where broken, but no farther than 2” (length) farther than crack in frame on either side of crack, no wider than 3/4 inch. Do not add filler material on weld and only one bead for cracks!! IF METAL IS ADDED THEN IT WILL COUNT AS ONE OF YOUR PLATES.

F 12) May pre-plate frames with plates, you may only use 6 total plates, 6 inch x 6 inches x 1/4 inch.

F 13) May have two rear hump plates 18 inches long , must be in rear humps must follow curve of frame( NO HUMP PLATES ON A COVERSTIONS) NOT TRANSFERABLE

F 14) May tilt frames but you may only use 12 inches of weld per side. [this is your extra 12 inch of weld]

F 15) No frame painting or undercoating or rhino lining to hide welds WILL NOT BE INSPECTED FOR SHOW!!!!

F 16) All holes must be open on Crow Vic crush boxes. Must have 2 holes one on top one on bottom of frame over crush box.

F 17) Washers on crush box MUST be separated

F 18) Officials can and will drill frames before and after events

SUSPENSION

S 1) May covert any coil to leaf spring.

S 2) May run a floater rear end No larger than 3/4 ton rear ends allowed S 3) Rear coil springs can be changed , but must fit in stock location.

S 4) No more than 9 leafs under leaf cars!!! May be taped or four keeps per pack, but have a place to count leaves, no more than 1/4 inch x 2 inch metal for the leaf strengtheners. Must have springs no wider than 3” Total stack hight must not exceed 3.5′′

S 5) May chain rear differential to the floor or humps. (3/8 chain max.) or 2 wraps of # 9 wire per side NO PINNING!!

S 6) May reinforce A arms, must look like an A arm!! May weld or Bolt to frame. May have a 3′′ x 6′′ strap to hold down A arm. 2 straps per A- arm

S 7) May reinforce upper arms ( 1/4 inch material) or 2 inch angle iron.

S 8) May run modified rims no larger than 1 inch material. May modified rim, to allow for 16” tires. S I) No tire rule, but they must fit the car ( NO Monster Tires!!!)

S 9) You may convert a watts link rear end to a standard G M standard in the following way; using material of the same dimension as the stock rear control link.

S 10) No positioning of brackets to strengthen front down leg of rear hump (so don’t beat control arm bracket against frame and weld around it, or it will be considered a plate).

S 11) You may cut coil spring tray of an older tray and weld in newer Ford. Weld one pass 1/4 ” max no stronger than stock.

S 12) 2003 and Newer Fords, You can change steering components, but no welding to frame, bolt in no modifications.

S 13) Any 80 or newer Ford May run gusset outside crush box 2′′x 6′′ x 1/4′′in stock location. S 14) 80-new allowed to tilted. You can cut frame, pull down re- weld.

S 15) You can use a 2” pipe MAX for front spacer and can be welded to frame, can’t attach to bumper and can’t angle towards bumper, MUST BE STRAIGHT UP.

S 16) 5′′ x 5′′ washer max for body bolt replacing top and bottom. S 17) No shock altering, over springs Ect.

S 18) May have spring spaces no larger than 1′′

S 19) May stuff or enforce rear control arms.

S 20) Front clips can ONLY be changed with same kind Ford to Ford ect.

BODY

B 1) Doors may be welded with no more than a 3′′ strap solid. No wood, no foreign material or extra reinforcing allowed inside passenger doors.

B 2) Drivers’ doors must be welded shut. If door comes open driver will be disqualified from the heat. REINFORCEMENT MUST BE ADDED ON THE DRIVER’S DOOR, limited to 6” past edge of door, and MAY NOT protrude from car more than 2”. This door can be welded solid.

B 3) Only True grader blades allowed. No V blades.

B 4) DRIVER’S DOOR MUST HAVE ALL LATCHES OR SHARP OBJECTS REMOVED !!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND PAD ON THE INSIDE!

B 5) Drivers Door ONLY MAY BE over-laid ONLY!! Torn sheet metal in doors can be patched with sheet metal only 2′′ lap, for safety reasons only!! 1/8 sheet metal only!

B 6) IF door is Destroyed MUST REMOVE OLD SKIN BEFORE OVERLAY. NO DOUBLE BODY!!! B 7) No filling in headlights with extra metal.

B 7) All side windows must be open. Moon window must be open!

TRUNKS

T 1) Trunks may be welded solid or with a 3 inch strap not both (NO ANGLE IRON). 1/4′′ thick.

T 2) Trunk lids MUST have a 6 inch inspection hole. Station wagons must have rear deck plates removed!!

T 3) Minimal pre-bending of body is allowed, no full rear end wedges before car is ran. A pre-ran car may smash the trunk down for visibility reasons only.

T 4) Trunk may have [two] 1 inch all threads TOTAL and can be through the frame . A maximum 6”x 6”x 1/4” washer on trunk bolts

T 5) Trunk may be tucked into rear tail light cross brace, bend may start 10” back from end of trunk T 6) NO inside seems may be welded

HOODS

H 1) 100% of Hood must be removable. ( one hood only )

H 2) Hole must be cut in hood, large enough for fire extinguisher use.

H 3) A maximum of 8 bolts or all thread maybe used on the hood. Only four all threads TOTAL can go to frame.

H 4) The bolts shall be no more than 1” maximum. A maximum 6”X 6” washer on hood bolts.

H 5) You can weld together or bolt hood together with no more than 30 3/8 bolts and 1′′ washers.

H 6) You are allowed to run two straps 2 inch wide 1/4 inch thick from core support to bumper or 2 wraps of # 9 wire or 1/4′′ cable CHOOSE ONLY ONE!! No other reinforcing or added material to core support.

H 7) May weld all body seems under the hood ( fenders to fender wells ect.)

H 8) You can weld fender to core support

H 9) NO inside seems may be welded in the trunk ! NO CUT AND RUN !! JUST NO RUN!! H 10) May have 8 bolts per fender 3/8 inch max or weld.

H 11) For safety try to leave firewalls intact and heater core covered. Driver’s floor board must be in place. May cut for motor mod, but needs to have some cover!

H 12) Must have at least three front window bars in front of the driver can not be located directly behind distributor protector. May have two bars in back window NO larger 2 inch angle iron or pipe, (not welded to halo bar or 6′′ past speaker lid or back window pillar).

H 13) All windows may have one 9-wire (2 wraps) or 1/4 cable(with one turn buckle) in one place not both!

DRIVERS COMPARTMENT

DC 1) A box (cage) around the driver and batteries is required. You are required to have at least a driver’s door bar, a bar from door post to door post, a dash bar and a bar from the dash bar to the door post bar on the passenger side.

DC 2) The 4 vertical bars ONLY can be welded to the frame or bolted to frame no more than 3 places per frame rail.

DC 3) You are allowed to run a vertical bar from the door to door bar of X-brace behind the seat straight up and connect to two together on top of the roof (roll bar). Located NO futher back than the middle of the back door behind driver!!

DC 4) May have two kickers from dash bar to frame with a distibutor protector. Located 6′′ within the back side of A-Arm, (back side is toward the fire wall). (2′′ MAX MATERIAL”) CAN NOT be a continuous bar from HALO..

DC 5) The only part of the cage allowed outside the car is the driver’s door and the bar across the roof, as well as window bars.

DC 6) MUST HAVE INSIDE DOOR BAR FROM DASH TO SEAT BAR, TO PROTECT THE BATTERIES.

DC 7) NO inside seems may be welded in the drivers area ! NO CUT AND RUN !! JUST NO RUN!!

FUEL

F 1) Fuel tanks must be in the rear seat compartment and fastened securely.

F 2) Fuel tank size is a maximum 10 gallons (Metal or plastic boat gas tanks work very well.) Need cover (metal or inner tube)

F 3) Fuel line must be connected with secure fittings. (Two clamps for every connector.) F 4) Fuel line must be protected when passing though sheet metal.

F 5) No Alcohol!!

F 6) Fuel protectors CAN NOT be fastened to the back fire wall or have floor kickers!! BATTERIES

B+ 1) Batteries must be moved to front seat compartment and fastened securely

B+ 2) Batteries must be covered for driver’s safety.

B+ 3) Two batteries maximum or one cat battery may be used.

DRIVE TRAIN

DT 1) Air cleaners must be left in place. All carburetors will have one.

DT 2) Radiator must be left in place and no other water supply may be used.

DT 3) May run 1/4′′ expanded metal in front of radiator, welded in 4 (1′′) spots. Cannot over lap metal by more than one 1′′ of core support. No overlapping or welding to bumper.

DT 4) May run radiator tank with pop off valve in place of a stock radiator.( Must Not Be used as enforcement)

DT 5) You may run transmission coolers. They must be securely fastened.

DT 6) No water engine cooled coolers

DT 7) May run distributor protectors (My be up against dash bar not connected )

DT 8) May run engine cradles but they must be attached to the engine sub frame , transmission cross over and one other place.

DT 9) Motor mounts can be welded

DT 10) Radiator support can be in a U shape under frame but not strait frame rail to rail solid. Radiator support must support not reinforce, overlapping will be counted as plates!

PAINT

P 1) PAINT CAR NUMBER ON ROOF IN LARGE NUMBERS. Roof signs are recommended. P 2) PAINT DRIVERS NAME ON ROOF IN LARGE LETTERS.

DRIVER RULES

  1. All drivers must have a valid drivers license and be at least 18 years of age. If not 18 years old, driver must have written permission and notarization from Parents or Guardians, Each driver and mechanic must sign a waiver releasing Outlaw Promotions from liability.
  1. Helmets with face shields or helmets with goggles must be worn. (Safety glasses not considered as goggles or shield.) Long sleeved shirt or fire suit is required. NO SHORTS!
  1. Seat belts must he worn. Shoulder harnesses are recommended.
  2. Driver’s door hits and team driving will be decided by the judges.
  3. Any door or hood coming open during race, that car will be removed from that heat.
  4. Drivers must be present at drivers meeting held 30 min. before the show. Roll will be called. 7. Driver must make a hit at least every one minutes during race.
  1. When call goes out for cars to be in place, drivers shall be in place and ready or will be disqualified from that heat.
  2. Two wheels going over poles or boundary line car will be disqualified!
  3. Cars catching on fire 2 times in one heat will be disqualified from the heat.
  4. ALL CARS WILL STOP IMMEDIATELY WHEN FLAGGED. (FOR FIRES, ETC.) OR THEY WILL BE BLACK FLAGGED.
  5. All rulings by the Official Judge will be final.
  6. Drivers must stay in car for safety reasons until the heat is over, except in case of fire. 14. ALL CARS ARE SUBJECT TO RE INSPECTION AT ANY TIME.
  7. Judges may disqualify a car if it is deemed unsafe.
  8. Drivers MUST accompany their car to the inspection. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  9. Hood must be open for all inspections.
  10. Roll overs are disqualified!!
  11. Must have Fire extinguisher inside

COMPACT DEMO RULES

ENTRIES

TRUNKS

T 1) Trunks may be welded solid or with a 3inch strap not both (NO ANGLE IRON). 1/4″ thick.

T 2) Trunk lids MUST have a 6 inch inspection hole. Station wagons must have rear deck plates removed!!

T 3) Minimal pre-bending of body is allowed, no full rear end wedges before car is ran. A pre-ran car may smash the trunk down for visibility reasons only.

T 4) Trunk may have two 1 inch all threads TOTAL and can be through the frame . A maximum 6”x6”x1/4” washer on trunk bolts

T 5) Trunk may be tucked into rear tail light cross brace, bend may start 10” back from end of trunk

HOODS

H 1) 100% of Hood must be removable. ( one hood only )

H 2) Hole must be cut in hood, large enough for fire extinguisher use.

H 3) A maximum of 8 bolts or all thread maybe used on the hood. Only four all threads TOTAL can go to frame.

H 4) The bolts shall be no more than 1” maximum. A maximum 6”X 6” washer on hood bolts.

H 5) You can weld together or bolt hood together with no more than 30 3/8 bolts and 1″ washers.

H 6) You are allowed to run two straps 2 inch wide 1/4 inch thick from core support to bumper or 2 wraps of # 9 wire or 1/4″ cable CHOOSE ONLY ONE!! No other reinforcing or added material to core support.

H 7) May weld all body seems under the hood ( fenders to fender wells ect.)

H 8) You can weld fender to core support

H 9) NO inside seems may be welded in the drivers area or trunk !

H 10) May have 8 bolts per fender 3/8 inch max or weld.

H 11) For safety try to leave firewalls intact and heater core covered. Driver’s floor board must be in place. May cut for motor mod, but needs to have some cover!

H 12) Must have at least three front window bars in front of the driver can not be located directly behind distributor protector. May have two bars in back window NO larger 2 inch angle iron or pipe, (not welded to halo bar or 6″ past speaker lid or back window pillar).

H 13) All windows may have one 9-wire (2 wraps) or 1/4 cable(with one turn buckle) in one place not both!

DRIVERS COMPARTMENT

DC 1) A box (cage) around the driver and batteries is required. You are required to have at least a driver’s door bar, a bar from door post to door post, a dash bar and a bar from the dash bar to the door post bar on the passenger side.

DC 2) The 4 vertical bars ONLY can be welded to the frame or bolted to frame no more than 3 places per frame rail.

DC 3) You are allowed to run a vertical bar from the door to door bar of X-brace behind the seat straight up and connect to two together on top of the roof (roll bar). Located NO futher back than the middle of the back door behind driver!!

DC 4) No kickers from cage to frame with a distributor protector.. If you don’t run a protector you may have two kickers (one)per side 1/4 angle iron 6″ long.

DC 5) The only part of the cage allowed outside the car is the driver’s door and the bar across the roof.

DC 6) MUST HAVE INSIDE DOOR BAR FROM DASH TO SEAT BAR, TO PROTECT THE BATTERIES.

FUEL

F 1) Fuel tanks must be in the rear seat compartment and fastened securely.

F 2) Fuel tank size is a maximum 10 gallons (Metal or plastic boat gas tanks work very well.) Need cover (metal or inertube)

F 3) Fuel line must be connected with secure fittings. (Two clamps for every connector.)

F 4) Fuel line must be protected when passing though sheet metal.

F 5) No Alcohol!!

F 6) Fuel protectors CAN NOT be fastened to the back fire wall or have floor kickers!!

BATTERIES

B+ 1) Batteries must be moved to front seat compartment and fastened securely

B+ 2) Batteries must be covered for driver’s safety.

B+ 3) Two batteries maximum or one cat battery may be used.

DRIVE TRAIN

DT 1) Air cleaners must be left in place. All carburetors will have one.

DT 2) Radiator must be left in place and no other water supply may be used.

DT 3) May run 1/4″ expanded metal in front of radiator, welded in 4 (1″) spots. Cannot over lap metal by more than one 1″ of core support. No overlapping or welding to bumper.

DT 4) May run radiator tank with pop off valve in place of a stock radiator.( Must Not Be used as enforcement)

DT 5) You may run transmission coolers. They must be securely fastened.

DT 6) No water engine cooled coolers

DT 7) May run distributor protectors

DT 8) May run engine cradles but they must be attached to the engine sub frame , transmission cross over and one other place.

DT 9) Motor mounts can be welded down.

DT 10) Radiator support can be in a U shape under frame but not strait frame rail to rail solid. Radiator support must support not reinforce, overlapping will be counted as plates!

PAINT

P 1) PAINT CAR NUMBER ON ROOF IN LARGE NUMBERS. Roof signs are recommended.

B 2) PAINT DRIVERS NAME ON ROOF IN LARGE LETTERS.

  1. Seat belts must he worn. Shoulder harnesses are recommended.
  1. Driver’s door hits and team driving will be decided by the judges.
  1. Any door or hood coming open during race, that car will be removed from that heat.
  1. Drivers must be present at drivers meeting held 30 min. before the show. Roll will be called.
  1. Driver must make a hit at least every one minutes during race.
  1. When call goes out for cars to be in place, drivers shall be in place and ready or will be disqualified from that heat.
  1. Two wheels going over boundary line car will be disqualified!
  1. Cars catching on fire 2 times in one heat will be disqualified from the heat.
  1. ALL CARS WILL STOP IMMEDIATELY WHEN FLAGGED. (FOR FIRES, ETC.) OR THEY WILL BE BLACK FLAGGED.
  1. All rulings by the Official Judge will be final.
  1. Drivers must stay in car for safety reasons until the heat is over, except in case of fire.
  1. ALL CARS ARE SUBJECT TO RE INSPECTION AT ANY TIME.
  1. Judges may disqualify a car if it is deemed unsafe.
  1. Drivers MUST accompany their car to the inspection. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  1. Hood must be open for all inspections.
  1. Roll overs are disqualified!!!

     

  2. Must have Fire extinguisher inside
  3. Official may drill before event and after at anytime!

TRUCK RULES

ENTRIES

NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED. STATE LAW ALSO PROHIBITS THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WHILE OPERATING A VEHICLE. THEREFORE, NO DRIVER UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE OR ENTER THE EXHIBITION AREA. JUDGES MAY DIQUALIFY A DRIVER IF HE/SHE IS CONSIDERED UNFIT TO DRIVE. LAW ENFORCEMENT WILL BE NOTIFIED OF VIOLATIONS.

Orderly conduct is required of all drivers and pit persons. If not, any driver and or people affiliated with that car will be evicted without any refunds or prize money. Misconduct may result in being banned from present and/ or future participation. Any driver or crew member not complying with any one of the rules will be immediately disqualified. Crewmembers are the responsibility of the driver.

All trucks must be in the pit by 1pm.

All trucks will be inspected and passed before allowing participation.

No diesel motors.

NO one allowed in pit area without a pit pass!

All cars not removed the day after demo, become the property of the Outlaw Promotions.

(NO SHOW NO REFUND.)

Entrants and pit crews are expected to wear pit pass at all times.

Sub-frames or uni-body are considered frames in all parts of these rules.

PROTEST RULE

P1) Protests are allowed within 5 minutes of feature ending. Only one spot out of pay may protest. (If paying top 5, only the top 6 may protest) Contact an official immediately. In order to protest, the protesting driver must pay $500 cash (NO CHECKS) on the spot paid to the promoter before any inspection will occur.

P2) Only the promoter and his inspectors will be allowed in the arena to inspect the protested car. They will only look for the specific protest. May not be vague such as whole car or loaded frame. Must be specific area, such as frame horns, crush boxes, too many plates, etc.

P3) If any holes are punched into frame, and no cheat is found, car owner/driver may plate over hole within reason (double size of hole) and it will not count as an additional plate. If car is found to be legal, the driver of the car will receive $400 dollars of the $500 and the remaining

$100 will go to the promoter as a re-tech fee.

P4) If car is found to be illegal, the protester will receive $400 dollars back. The driver of the disqualified car will forfeit trophy and payout and suspended from the next scheduled weekend warrior show. The award will go to the next placed car. If the driver of the protested car denies the protest, any payout and trophy will be forfeited and the next car advances.

P5) Upon protesting, there will be no cussing, yelling, fighting, or any other disrespectful behavior. If the promotor determines that any disrespectful or illegal behavior has occurred, it will be his discretion to deny the protest and law enforcement will be called and protest will be denied.

GOLDEN RULE

G 1) If you decide to push these rules you will be asked to fix or be loaded. NO REFUNDS! G 2) Rules are written to inspector’s interpretations, NOT the drivers. What the inspectors say goes. If the driver does not agree, they may load their cars.

G 3) IF IT DOES NOT SAY YOU CAN, THEN YOU CAN’T. Build at your own risk.

TRUCK PREP

A) All glass, plastic, fiberglass, chrome moldings, molding clips,door handles(inside and out) and pot metal MUST be removed prior to arrival at facility.   No broken window in doors.

B) No flammable materials such as carpets, upholstery or headliners can be left in the car.

C) Cars MUST be clean and free of loose objects inside the entire vehicle.

D) Insulation blankets under the hood and in trunk MUST be removed.

E)  Wheel weights must be removed.

F)  Fuel tanks must be removed.

DOORS

D 1) Drivers’ doors must be welded shut. If door comes open driver will be disqualified from the heat.

D 2)   REINFORCEMENT MUST BE ADDED ON THE DRIVER’S DOOR, limited to 6” past edge of door, and MAY NOT protrude from car more than 2”. This door can be welded solid.

D 3) DRIVER’S DOOR MUST BE PADDED ON THE INSIDE! No grader blades.

D 4) Doors may be solid welded with flat strap no wider than 3” x ¼”. TOP of doors may be folded. No wood, or extra reinforcing allowed in passenger doors.

PICKUP TRUCK RULES

Above Rules as well as the following.

TRUCKS

A) Any ½ or 1 ton GVW regular cab, crew cab, or suburban. No El Camino’s, Ranchero’s, vans, or ambulances.

B) No 4X4 will be allowed. If it is a 4X4, the front drive shaft must be removed.

C) No flat beds, utility boxes, pipe bumpers, grill guards, or headache racks.

DOORS

D 1) Doors may be welded with no more than a 3″ strap solid. No wood,no foreign material or extra reinforcing allowed inside passenger doors.

BEDS

B 1) Bed must be stock appearance from the cab to the wheel well.

B 2) Maybe a wedge

B 3) Pick ups may have one ¼” chain or cable in the middle of the bed to prevent bed from spreading.

B 4) Beds maybe moved forward and welded to the back of the cab.

B 5) May add two extra bolts.

B 6) Bed needs to look stock towards wheel well, then you may bend rest, NO lower than wheel well!!

CAGE

C 1) A complete roll cage around driver is allowed. On suburban, roll cage may only go back to floor pan.

C 2) Pick up’s must have mesh or bars in driver’s back window to protect them from possible debris.

C 3) Suburban side windows may have limited 9-wire (4 wraps) one place (or two wraps 2 places.) Or may use one (1”) all thread per side in place of 9 wire.May use 1/4″ cable. Choose only ONE!!

FUEL

F 1) Pick ups gas tank must be moved to the top center behind the cab, using at least 2” material to attach to the frame.

F 2) May run Two bars from Halo. May run cross over between bars. Bars to bed NOT FRAME to protect gas tank . DO NOT GO PAST REAR DIFFERENTIAL!!

F 3) Other vehicles gas tank needs to be moved behind the driver (10 gallon tank maximum.)

BUMPER

B 1) May replace front bumper or rear with any factory car bumper or build a bumper . Built must have NO point and NOT be out more than 11 inch deep from back to front.

B 2) You may hard nose. No extra material

FRAME

F 1) May box first 8″of the frame with no more than 3/16 inch material. May have 3 other plates per frame rail 6″ long ,frame with.

F 2) You can do spring conversions but you must leave all holes open. No fill in on spring holes.

F 3) Spring mounts cannot be attached to bumper!

HOOD

H 1) You can weld together or bolt hood together with no more than 3/8 bolts and 1″ washers.

H 2)   May have 6″ gusset from finder to the core support, no more than 1/14 material. From core support to the finder.

H 3) May tuck hood

BODY

B 1) ALL SEEMS CAN BE WELDED SOLID OR USE 3″ STRAP SOLID WELD.

B 2) May plate frame from front wheel well to back wheel well Not to go past Front A arm or rear differential

PAINT

B 4)  May weld a 6” piece of chain on stock bumpers to keep from coming off or two inch strap 18″ max length.

H 3)   Front chain, wire or 1/4″ cable may go around bumper and around frame.

FINDERS

F 1) Maybe trimmed or folded.

F 2) May have no more than 10.  3/8 bolts per finder.

SF 4)   All frame holes must be open. No metal, wood and or concrete allowed in frame.

SF 5)   No Frame Lacing or Welding. No Frame Pinning!

  1. ALL CARS WILL STOP IMMEDIATELY WHEN FLAGGED. (FOR FIRES, ETC.)
  1. All rulings by the Official Judge will be final.
  1. Drivers must stay in car for safety reasons until the heat is over, except in case of fire.
  1. ALL CARS ARE SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME.
  1. Judges may disqualify a car if it is deemed unsafe.
  1. Drivers MUST accompany their car to the inspection. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  1. Hood must be open for all inspections.
  1. Roll overs will be disqualified !!!
  1. NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED. STATE LAW ALSO PROHIBITS THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WHILE OPERATING A VEHICLE. THEREFORE, NO DRIVER UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE OR ENTER THE EXHIBITION AREA. JUDGES MAY DISQUALIFY A DRIVER IF HE/SHE IS CONSIDERED UNFIT TO DRIVE. LAW ENFORCEMENT WILL BE NOTIFIED OF VIOLATIONS.

Orderly conduct is required of all drivers and pit persons. If not, any driver and or people affiliated with that car will be evicted without any refunds or prize money. Misconduct may result in being banned from present and/ or future participation. Any driver or crew member not complying with any one of the rules will be immediately disqualified. Crew

members are the responsibility of the driver.

Pre-entries must be before the demo. Mail entries to Outlaw Promotion, 16502 Q Road, Cimarron, Kansas 67835.

ALL CARS MUST HAVE PAYED ENTRY BEFORE INSPECTION.

All inspections and re-inspections will be completed 1 hour before show time. If the show starts at 7 inspection will be completed by 6. No exceptions. Inspections will not be rushed and no car that shows up after the cut off will be inspected. It is advised to show up early enough to be inspected in time.

Upon registration, drivers will be handed a card. That card will be handed to inspectors during inspection. If any changes are to be made, they will be written on that card. That card MUST be handed back to the inspectors upon re-inspection or the car will NOT be inspected.

No ambulances, hearses, trucks, vans, Chrysler Imperials, El Caminos, Rancheros, 03 and newer, no older than 63 or convertibles will be entered. No diesel motors.

NO one allowed in pit area without a pit pass!

All cars not removed the day after demo, become the property of the Outlaw Promotions.

Entrants and pit crews are expected to wear pit pass at all times.

PROTEST RULE

P1) Protests are allowed within 5 minutes of feature ending. Only one spot out of pay may protest. (If paying top 5, only the top 6 may protest) Contact an official immediately. In order to protest, the protesting driver must pay $500 cash (NO CHECKS) on the spot paid to the promoter before any inspection will occur.

P2) Only the promoter and his inspectors will be allowed in the arena to inspect the protested car. They will only look for the specific protest. May not be vague such as whole car or loaded frame. Must be specific area, such as frame horns, crush boxes, too many plates, etc.

P3) If any holes are punched into frame, and no cheat is found, car owner/driver may plate over hole within reason (double size of hole) and it will not count as an additional plate. If car is found to be legal, the driver of the car will receive $400 dollars of the $500 and the remaining

$100 will go to the promoter as a re-tech fee.

P4) If car is found to be illegal, the protester will receive $400 dollars back. The driver of the disqualified car will forfeit trophy and payout and suspended from the next scheduled weekend warrior show. The award will go to the next placed car. If the driver of the protested car denies the protest, any payout and trophy will be forfeited and the next car advances.

P5) Upon protesting, there will be no cussing, yelling, fighting, or any other disrespectful behavior. If the promotor determines that any disrespectful or illegal behavior has occurred, it will be his discretion to deny the protest and law enforcement will be called and protest will be denied.

GOLDEN RULE

G 1) If you decide to push these rules you will be asked to fix or be loaded. NO REFUNDS! G 2) Rules are written to inspector’s interpretations, NOT the drivers. What the inspectors say goes. If the driver does not agree, they may load their cars.

G 3) IF IT DOES NOT SAY YOU CAN, THEN YOU CAN’T. Build at your own risk.

CAR PREP

THE RULES ARE AT THE INTERPRETATION OF THE INSPECTORS/OFFICIALS, NOT THE DRIVERS. BUILD AT YOUR OWN RISK!

CP 1) All glass, plastic, fiberglass, chrome moldings, molding clips, oor handles(inside and out) and pot metal MUST be removed prior to arrival at facility. No broken window in doors. CP 2) No flammable materials such as carpets, upholstery or headliners can be left in the car. CP 3) Cars MUST be clean and free of loose objects inside the entire vehicle.

CP 4) Insulation blankets under the hood and in trunk MUST be removed.

CP 5) Wheel weights must be removed. CP 6) Fuel tanks must be removed.

BUMPERS

B 1) Bumpers may be changed to any factory car bumper using stock brackets FOR THAT CAR. Can place one piece of pipe or tubing inside bumper NO thicker than 1/4 inch.

B 3) May replace bumper with 4X4 tubing 1/4 inch thick. No hard point (3′′ blunt point… May also place pipe inside. Ends on homemade bumpers may be capped with inspection hole that allows inspector to see from one end through the other.

B 4) May be compressed and welded, brackets can be welded to frame but cannot be extended or

B 5) May hard nose (Bumper straight to frame) NO REPLACING OF BRACKETS TO FRAME OR RELOCATING! Brackets must be stock for that car. If brackets are removed, you may add a 3×3, 3/8 thick plate welded to the bumper and frame. 2 per frame rail. Ex. One on outside and

one on inside of each rail. If you use bumper shocks or bumper brackets, DO NOT reshape and they must remain mounted in stock location.

B 6) May weld a 6” piece of chain on stock bumpers to keep from coming off or two inch strap 18′′ max length max chain size 3/8. Must go from bumper to radiator supports only!

B 7) May weld bumper seams.

DOORS

D 1) Drivers’ doors may be solid welded shut. If door comes open driver will be disqualified from the heat.

D 2) DRIVER’S DOOR MUST BE PADDED ON THE INSIDE!

D 3) REINFORCEMENT MUST BE ADDED ON THE DRIVER’S DOOR, limited to 6” past

edge of door, and MAY NOT protrude from car more than 2”. This door can be welded solid. No grader blades.

D 4) Passenger doors may be chained (max of 3/8 in.) or welded with 3′′x 6′′, two per seam. (One door only has 4 seams) No wood, or extra reinforcing allowed in passenger doors.

TRUNK LID

T 1) Trunk lid may be welded with 3′′ x 6′′. 8 max per trunk. Must have a 2 inch gap between plates.

T 2) May remove trunk lid and lay down in trunk. May be held down with 2 bolts no bigger than 3/4 inch and one inch all thread through the trunk. All thread may go through frame.

T 3) Trunk lid can be bent, but must be in stock location. If trunk is wedged, there must be a 3×3 inspection hole on each side. (Driver and passenger sides)

T 4) May run window bar from roof to speaker deck. Plate welded on trunk lid cannot be more than 6” long and 3” wide. No bigger than 2×2 square tubing. Cannot be welded past trunk seam. Cannot touch halo bar or fuel tank protector. Min. 1” gap.

T 5) May run without rear bumper.

HOOD

H 1) Hood can be chained down with a maximum of four 3/8” chains, or six bolts (TWO BOLTS CAN GO TO FRAME), or four 9 wire points.

H 2) MUST BE ABLE TO OPEN HOOD.

H 3) Front chain, wire or 1/4′′ cable may go around bumper and around frame.

H 4) Maximum of 25 -3/8 bolts to pin hood together. NO welding.

FENDERS

F 1) May be trimmed or folded.

F 2) May have no more than 10- 3/8 bolts per fender or rear quarters. F 3) May spot weld flaps if not bolted.

FUEL

F 1) Fuel tanks must be in the rear seat compartment and fastened securely. Must not move in any direction. Inspector’s judgement call.

F 2) Fuel tank size is a maximum 10 gallons. (Plastic boat gas tanks work very well.)

F 3) For driver safety, All plastic fuel tanks must to be covered.

F 4) Fuel line must be connected with secure fittings. (Two clamps for every connector.)

BATTERIES

B 1) Batteries must be moved to front seat compartment and fastened securely.

B 2) Batteries must be covered for driver’s safety. Two batteries maximum or one cat battery may be used.

DRIVE TRAIN

DT 1) Air cleaners must be left in place. All carburetors will have one.

DT 2) Radiator must be left in place and no other water supply may be used.

DT 3) May use a Raddi barrel (homemade radiator). Must be in stock location, bolted in or strapped in. NO WELDING.

DT 4) If you run a manual fan, you must run with a hood.

DT 5) May switch rear ends. It must be a STOCK CAR REAR END (5 LUG). May be braced within reason. NO performance rear ends. (Ex. Postal Mopar, etc.) No floaters.

DT 6) May have a distributor protector, can NOT be against dash bar, no bracing. Min of 3 inches between dp and dash bar.

DT 7) May have engine cradle, 1/ 2 inch max.

DT 8) May have slider drive shaft.

DT 9) May have tranny protector. Cross member can be no more than 2×2 square tubing.

DRIVER COMPARTMENT

DC 1) A box around the driver and batteries is required. A safety bar is required to be welded behind driver’s seat, running parallel to the floor from driver’s side to passenger’s side of the car. You may have a bar that extends across the dash and also have one that runs from dash bar to the seat bar on the passenger side. These bars may not exceed 4” diameter and can be welded to frame in 4 spots ONLY.

DC 2) May reinforce the drivers’ seat with chain.

DC 3) Must have at least 2 front window bars in front of the driver.

DC 4) Must have a fire extinguisher in car.

SUSPENSION FRAME

SF 1) May build or modify shocks.

SF 2) Must have stock springs no wider than 3” with no helper springs.

SF 3) No Leaf Conversions!

SF 4) All frame holes must be open. No metal, wood and or concrete allowed in frame. SF 5) No Frame Lacing or Welding. See rule SF 12. No Frame Pinning!

SF 6) May tilt frame. NO EXTRA PLATES! NO more than 4 inch tilt

SF 7) May weld Three – 4X6′′ plates per frame rail, 1/4 inch thick. NO INCH RULE. Plates CAN NOT fold around frame.

SF 8) NO re-stubbing of new to old, old to new. SF9)MayweldA-armsdownwith3′′x6′′strap1/4inchmaxthickness. MaystuffA-armswith 1⁄2” cold roll. Max 2- 10” pieces per A-arm.

SF 10) May switch A arms with older same brand stock A-arms.

SF 11) No after-market spindles or tie rods, but may reinforce tie rods within reason (inspector’s discretion).

SF 12) May weld top frame seam only from bumper to the front of the A Arm.

SF 13) Sub-frames or unibody are considered frames.

SF 14) Body bolts and spacers may be removed and replaced with Maximum 1” bolts.

PAINT

P 1) PAINT CAR NUMBER ON ROOF IN LARGE NUMBERS. P 2) PAINT DRIVERS NAME ON ROOF IN LARGE LETTERS.

TIRES

T 1) May have a modified rim, to allow for 16” tires, no more than 1⁄4” material. T 2) May run any tire you want, as long as it goes under car.

DRIVER RULES

  1. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age. If not 18 years old, driver must have written permission and notarization from Parents or Guardians, Each driver and mechanic must sign a waiver releasing Outlaw Promotions from liability.
  2. Helmets with face shields or helmets with goggles must be worn. (Safety glasses not considered as goggles or shield.) Long sleeved shirt or fire suit is required. NO SHORTS!
  3. Seat belts must be worn. Shoulder harnesses are recommended.
  4. Driver’s door hits and team driving will be decided by the judges.
  5. Any door or hood coming open during race, that car will be removed from that heat.
  1. Drivers must be present at drivers meeting held 30 min. before the show. Roll will be called.
  2.  Driver must make a hit at least every one minutes during race.
  1. When call goes out for cars to be in place, drivers shall be in place and ready or will be disqualified from that heat.
  2. Two wheels going over poles or boundary line car will be disqualified!
  1. Cars catching on fire 2 times in one heat will be disqualified from the heat.
